Running wasn’t always my thing. I played soccer my whole life until 2021, when a friend dragged me to a trail event almost by accident. I never looked back. That first taste of the dirt, the hills, the open air—it hooked me instantly.

To me, trail running is freedom and peace. It’s the chance to clear my head from a stressful daily routine, to discover new trails, and to connect with people who share the same crazy passion. What I love most is exploring new countries and places on foot, and diving into local running communities wherever I go. That sense of community—that’s what makes this sport truly special.

My sweet spot is distances between 100 and 120 kilometers. I love runnable, flowing courses where you can get into a rhythm. On long races, I’m fascinated by the inner battle—the thoughts, the feelings, the relentless ups and downs that only appear when you push yourself that far. It’s like a conversation with your own limits.

My race highlights so far include the 100‑mile Tarawera Ultratrail in New Zealand, the Transgrancanaria Classic, and the Cappadocia Ultra Trail in Turkey. The Infinite Trails in Austria are also a must‑do every year—there’s a special atmosphere there that I can’t find anywhere else.

But competitions aren’t everything. I love creating my own projects. On my birthday in 2024, I set a new FKT on the Burgensteig—115 kilometers with 4,000 meters of climbing. That was a gift to myself, and a reminder that the best adventures often come from your own ideas.

When I’m not running, you’ll find me on my gravel bike, spinning through the countryside for a change of pace. It keeps the legs fresh and the mind curious.

For me, trail running is about discovery—of new places, new people, and new versions of yourself. Every race, every project, every training run is a chance to learn and grow. And as long as there are trails to explore and communities to share them with, I’ll keep showing up.
