"Trails are more than a sport—they’re my freedom."

I grew up in the mountains of Colombia, running trails with my uncle and cousin. Later, I spent four years on the track, chasing speed over 5000 meters. But the truth? The track felt too flat, too predictable. I missed the wild. So, I went big—my first trail race was 110 km. It wasn’t just a challenge, it was a statement: this is who I am.

Today, I split my time between pushing scientific limits as a PhD student in Chemical Engineering and testing my own limits on the trails. My passion for renewable energy connects deeply with my love for nature. Every run is a reminder: life is about balance—between science and mountains, discipline and freedom.

My philosophy? “Enjoy the race, and enjoy the nature within it.” When the climbs get brutal, I whisper to myself: “Un, dos, tres… ¡vamos!”

Off the trails, I’m a thinker, a learner, and sometimes a dreamer. But when the shoes hit the dirt, I’m all instinct. Wild, determined, alive.
