I got talked into doing a Spartan Race. It happened to be on trails, and honestly, I spent the whole time thinking, "This would be way more fun without all these obstacles."  I went home, Googled "trail running races," found a 50 km race, signed up... and six months later I was standing on the start line of my very first trail run. Casual.

The fact that your own two feet can take you to places you could never reach by car. Every trail feels like opening a new door to the world. I'm naturally curious, so I keep wondering: What's over the next mountain? How much farther can I go?

It's my favourite way to explore two things at the same time: the world... and myself. The landscapes are amazing, but what you learn about yourself out there is even better.

At this point, it's not really a hobby, it's my lifestyle. My schedule revolves around training, my holidays somehow end up involving mountains or deserts, and yes... I have definitely chosen destinations based on whether there's a trail nearby.

Crossing the five most extreme deserts in the world, covering 250 km self-supported in each one. It wasn't just a running challenge, it was an adventure that completely changed how I see discomfort, resilience and what we're actually capable of.

Peace and adventure at the same time. Somehow, after hours of running, all the noise in my head disappears. Life gets really simple: eat, drink, keep moving, enjoy the view.

Because my everyday life is actually pretty calm... so I go looking for adventure on purpose.  The trails keep life interesting.

That I'm much more resilient than I ever thought. It's also made me incredibly practical. When you're alone in the middle of nowhere for hours, or days, you stop overthinking. You solve problems, adapt, look after yourself and just keep moving. It's amazing how capable you become when there's no other option.
